P for Posture : Spinal Health

If your spine is inflexibly stiff at 30, you are old. If it is completely flexible at 60, you are young.

The health of the spine has long been linked with bravado, the ability to stand up for what's right, and courage.

Both long hours of sitting, or excessive exercise can impact the health of your spine. Sharing some tips to check you spine alignment and some exercises to combat it.


Why is good posture important?

Having the right posture ensures your nervous system remains in good health without excessive pressure. So the signaling system between your brain and joints for example, is smooth.

It actually affects the health of your brain, overall blood flow and prevents your body from injury. It also enhances your balance which is key for overall wellbeing. Did you know that a disbalance can increase physical stressors and subsequently impact mood?

So sit up straight :) align your spine and keep it flexible!
