S for Snacking : Healthy Snack Ideas Under 1 Min
Recently I came across this new term : Snaccident.
Meaning : Eating an entire bag of chips/box of chocolates/entire pizza by mistake.
Has this happened to you?
I honestly feel like the most amount of guilt is associated with eating snacks. Is this healthy? Is this really that bad? Should I now skip my next meal to "compensate"? Oh does this have enough protein? What about Sugar?
In my experience, 2 simple habits can help you snack without worry :
1. If you're out shopping : Read your nutrition labels - look out for synthetic additives, acidity regulators, preservatives, unknown and unrecognizable ingredients. And supermarkets with its beautiful packaging, newer and newer brands, exotic flavors can get just plain tempting.
2. Pre-empt your hunger : Just ensuring you have a bunch of clean, no nonsense, fresh food options around is a huge help. At home you can always whip up something delicious and quick. Outside, keeping handy some snacks will always be helpful in avoiding snaccidents.
